My Weightlifting Plan

My goal in this project is to get stronger for the upcoming football season. Before I start lifting to get stronger, I must first find the maximum weight I am able to lift. My plan is to get stronger by doing 2 lifts: squat and bench. After I max out in bench and squat, I will create a plan to lift certain percentages of my max a number of times. This will cause my muscles to breakdown from the strain and grow back stronger. As the weeks go by I will start to lift a higher percentage of my max at less reps. At the end of the school year I will again max out on bench and squat, and I should see an increase in the amount of weight I could lift.
